After John Barnett died in 1756 his children moved different areas such as Granville County, NC and the ancestor of Participant 0001 going to Surry then Rutherford counties in NC then to Spartanburg Co, SC by the time of the Revolution. Participant 0025 (33818) Barney This person has matched Participant 0023 (29220) on the 12 marker test. The two participants have been in contact with one another and have tentatively figured out how they relate. This participant  has ordered a higher resolution test which has not come in. He is sending his lineage which will be posted to the website soon.

Participant 0026 (34260) Barnett- Thought to descend from the Barnetts of Hall County, GA and thus from the Spartanburg Barnetts and ultimately from Goochland Co, VA. Waiting on Test kit to be returned.
