Due to our Project having over 40 participants and hopes of having many more and that the software used in creating this website would not create a chart larger than 40 columns
It was necessary to create three charts for the 25 Marker Genetic Distance Chart.
Chart 1 shows the Gentic Distance between each of the members of Group 1
Chart 2 shows the Genetic Distance between each of the members of Group 2
Chart 3 includes all other members in the project taking the 25 marker test plus for comparative purposes one member from group 1 (Kit
9386) representing all the members of Group 1 and one member from Group 2 (Kit 17010) representing the members of Group 2.
One should read the chart as one would read mileage on a map. Use the rows left to right
and the columns from top to bottom. The number where the lines intersect is the genetic distance between two persons.
A Genetic Distance of 0 is an exact match. Likewise 1 is a One Step Mis-match or Mutation.
